1st August 2026: Awareness session on POSH for Maintenancen Staff of ELCITA, Electronic City in Collaboration with Parihar, Bangalore City Police.


On 1 August, ELCITA (Electronics City Industrial Township Authority) organised a POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) awareness session at its Operations Office in Electronic City, Bengaluru, for its ground and maintenance staff. The session was conducted in collaboration with Parihar, Bangalore City Police, as part of ELCITA's continued efforts to promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace. ELCITA plays a key role in the development and management of Electronic City by focusing on infrastructure, public safety, and sustainable urban growth.


The awareness session was facilitated by Adv. Archana and Adv. Heena from Dhwani Legal Trust. The resourec persons explained the key provisions of the POSH Act in simple Hindi and Kannada, ensuring that the information was accessible and easy to understand.


The session covered important topics such as what constitutes sexual harassment at the workplace, the rights and responsibilities of employees, the process for reporting complaints, and the importance of creating a workplace built on dignity and mutual respect.


Dr. Bindya, Joint Secretary and In-Charge of Parihar, Bangalore City Police, attended the programme and enriched the discussion by sharing practical insights from her experience.


The session was highly interactive, with participants asking questions and engaging in meaningful discussions, helping them better understand their legal rights and responsibilities under the POSH Act.
