20th August 2026: Inter Collegiate Moot Court Competition at R V College, Bengaluru.


Adv. Misbah Shan was invited as a Judge by the School of Law, RV University, Bengaluru to adjudge it's 3rd Inter Collegiate Moot Court Competition, 2026 for its students.


The competition had 22 participants in 12 rounds, arguing over a fictitious Moot Proposition concerning the recent amendments brought to the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 - including the narrowing of the definition of transgender person, removal of self-identification and instituting a medical board for issuance of transgender certificate.


The students brought forth ingenuine arguments, both in the favour and opposition of the aforesaid amendments while also answering intense questions pertaining the problem.


Adv. Misbah Shan was required to mark the participants on both their memorials and oral arguments, along with marking memorials of 5 more participants who had solely participated as researchers.


The college and it's students kept up with the live issue concerning the Transgender community of our country and ensured the competition was engaging and tested the legal knowledge of its students.
