Dhwani Legal Trust conducted a Free Legal Aid Camp on 22nd October 2026 at LR Nagar, Koramangala, in collaboration with Maarga, an NGO working with people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those engaged in the unorganised sector.

Around 25 women participated in the session. Advocates Archana, Shashidhara, Surabhi and Sree Venkateshwara Prasad G served as resource persons. All the advocates briefly spoke about constitutional values, the need for women to be aware of their rights and the legal safeguards available to them, particularly in situations involving violence, discrimination, and other forms of injustice. The importance of free legal aid camps and the need to make legal information and assistance accessible to women. Criminal Procedures and labour laws respectively.

Following the awareness session, all the advocates provided one-on-one legal consultations to approximately 15 women. The consultations addressed a range of concerns, including domestic violence, harassment, maintenance, property disputes, and access to various entitlements.

The session was highly interactive. Women participants asked questions, shared their experiences, and discussed their concerns openly. The women appreciated the safe and supportive space created during the camp. The individual consultations also enabled women to discuss their issues freely and receive appropriate legal guidance.
