The 4th edition of Satyameva Jayate was celebrated on 14 August 2026 at RBANM’s High School, Ulsoor, Bengaluru, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
The celebration brought together people of different age groups through a range of cultural and educational activities, including midnight flag hoisting, music, dance, theatre and an exhibition on “The Freedom Struggle in Bengaluru.”
The event provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on India’s journey of freedom and the values that continue to shape the nation.
As part of the celebration, Dhwani Legal Trust set up an interactive stall featuring its postcards, pamphlets and legal-awareness materials. Visitors were introduced to the work of Dhwani Legal Trust, its initiatives and its efforts to give legal aid, promote legal awareness, constitutional values and informed citizenship.
The stall served as a space for conversations with visitors about the importance of understanding one’s rights and responsibilities.
A special participatory activity invited visitors to write letters to “Bharata Bhagya Vidata – Dispenser of India’s Destiny” on postcards and place them on a large map of India. The activity received enthusiastic participation from children as well as adults.
Many participants wrote about their aspirations, hopes and dreams for India, while others shared their thoughts on the functioning of the system, expressed concerns about issues they wished to see addressed, or simply reflected on the greatness and diversity of the country.
The activity encouraged participants to engage personally with the idea of India and think about its present and future.
Overall, the Dhwani stall added an interactive and reflective dimension to the Independence Day celebration, creating a meaningful space for dialogue, civic participation and reflection on democracy, citizenship and the aspirations of the people of India.
