26th January, 2026 : Free Legal Aid Camp at K.Gollahalli, Kumbalagodu.

On 26-01-2026, in honor of the 77th Republic Day, a Free Legal Aid Camp was conducted at K. Gollahalli High School campus, Kumbalagodu. The initiative aimed to provide the rural community with direct access to legal experts, fulfilling the constitutional mandate of "Justice for all" as enshrined in Article 39A of the Indian Constitution.

This camp was organized by Dhwani Legal Trust in collaboration with Nagarika Swayam Seva Samasthe, a locally based NGO and with the support and solidarity of K. Gollahalli Grama Panchayat especially for logistical support.

The day began with the Republic Day flag-hoisting ceremony at the school, followed by cultural events by the school children and speeches by the guests. Dhwani’s team also participated in this programme giving awareness on various laws like POCSO Act, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, Right to Education, 2009, The Dowry Prohibition Act.

The camp started at 11 am and went on till 2.30pm. The stage was set up in such way that individuals could consult our lawyers on one-to-one basis. We were around nine lawyers providing on-the-spot legal consultations for land disputes, matrimonial issues, and property issues.
