8th June, 2026: Legal Aid Camp at Booshakthi Kendra.

This camp was organized by Dhwani Legal Trust in collaboration with Booshakthi Kendra. Booshakthi Kendra, is a locally based Trust that works primarily for the empowerment and rights of marginalized and landless communities. The organization focuses on addressing social, economic, and legal issues faced by Dalits and other landless villagers through collective action and community participation.

Booshakthi Kendra Trust and Dhwani Legal Trust brought together nearly 50 participants from 15 villages in Tumkur district. This camp was also a follow-up of the previously organised camp in the month of May.

The legal aid and advice started at 11.30 am and went on till 3.30pm. This session saw Dhwani's lawyers, assisted by interns providing one-on-one consultations on issues relating to land. A total of 10 cases were dealt with by our team where These were cases which needed just a follow-up and which needed help in filing in the High Court of Karnataka.

It was an insightful event both for the organisers and the participants.
